New Year's Day
As I'm running to Paris, I shall convert to kilometres rather than miles to measure my progress. And on 1 January I made good progress! 8.5 km during the Southampton Park Run and the additional walking to and from the event takes me about 2.4% of the 357.6 km way there. This is where I (virtually) ended up - a very scenic route to run on my way to the coast.
As a very new runner, I don't run every day - my legs aren't up to it yet! - but when I start back at work after the break, I shall be walking at lunchtimes in addition to my regular evening and Saturday morning Park Runs, clocking up the kilometres and getting ever closer to my goal.
