Keeping my head above water



I'm about 18.5% of the way to Paris at 67k, although I can still only see sea, sea and more sea ahead!  And I'm very glad that the swim is virtual, because the sea temperature is only about 10° C!

After losing touch with a very dear friend from my days in Paris (a combination of us both moving house around the same time and losing each other's change of address cards/ sending them to out-of-date addresses) we finally made contact again, thanks to the wonders of the internet.  It was fantastic to talk to her, face-to-face, again, and I am even more determined to make my virtual visit to France a real one.  The friend in question has moved out of Paris and is now in the Cévennes region, so if I were to extend my virtual run to her front door it would pretty much treble my original goal!  So I think I will stick to Paris as my destination for the virtual run, and use an aeroplane for my real visit!
